Certificate in Communications – FETAC Level 5

Who should participate in this course?

Anyone who has an interest in developing their overall communication skills (written, listening, reading, writing and verbal/nonverbal). All those wishing to upgrade their communication skills.

Duration: 4 Days
No. Of Participants: 10 Participants per Programme.
Certification: A FETAC Level 5 Certificate will be awarded to each successful participant on this programme.

Course Objective:

This module is aimed at people who wish to improve their communication skills in the workplace. It will enable participants to develop their skills with communication in human interaction and to acquire communication skills relevant to vocational and personal development. Successful participants will be able to understand the communicative principles and practices involved in gathering and relaying information and to acquire the skills and confidence to convey and interpret meaning, in writing, orally and visually. They will also develop a critical awareness of communication messages and media and explore the use of modern communication and information technology, and its application in personal and vocational life.

Candidate Requirement:

  • Leaving Certificate or equivalent qualification and/or relevant life and work experience.
  • Learners must also be capable of undertaking assessment work to Ordinary Level Leaving Certificate standard.
  • International learners undertaking this course should have confidence in their English language, reading, writing and comprehension skills
