Event Management Programme: FETAC level 6

Duration: The course lasts for 4 days, which comprises of a minimum of 110 learning hours, of which 32 are tutor led.

Certification: A FETAC Level 6 Certificate will be awarded to each successful participant on this programme.

Course Objective:

Learners who successfully complete this module will:

  • 1 Understand how to research, prepare and present a proposal for an event.
  • 2 Understand human resources management in the event environment.
  • 3 Develop knowledge of contacts, legal requirements, health and safety and contingency planning at special events.
  • 4 Distinguish between different special event environments.
  • 5 Prepare a PR campaign for a special event.
  • 6 Appreciate record keeping and quality Assurance in the event environment.
  • 7 Understand how to prepare and deliver a post event evaluation report.

Assessment:

This course is assessed through a Collection of Work which includes completion of quality assurance and other documentation, and a Project which entails developing an Event Proposal to include a Post Event Evaluation.

All work submitted must be your own work.

Student assessment work will be marked by an Internal Assessor, then checked by an Internal Verifier and an independent FETAC External Authenticator.
