Certification: Upon answering a written paper and successfully passing CPR and AED skills you will receive an Irish Heart Association Course Completion Card.

This course aims to teach First Aid to all lay persons.

Learn First Aid steps for Medical Emergencies for:
- Breathing Problems
- Chest pain & Heart Attack
- Fainting
- Diabetes
- Seizures
- Strokes
First Aid Steps for Injury Emergencies
- Bleeding you can see
- Mouth and tooth injuries
- Shock
- Bleeding you can't see
- Broken bones, sprains and bruises
- Burns and electrocution
First Aid steps for Environmental Emergencies
- Bites and stings
- Temperature-related emergencies
- Poison Emergencies
And on completion be able to demonstrate
- Opening a victims airway and check for breathing
- Recognize and treat choking
- Show first aid treatment of shock
- Apply slings and bandages
